Board of Directors, Rendezvous Lands Conservancy
Scott is a leading member of the community locally, regionally and on a state basis. Over
the past 38 years in Jackson Hole he has developed a thorough understanding of the issues
facing the Jackson Hole area and the surrounding communities. His degree in biology created a foundation to understand the land and how it relates to public use. Pierson Land Works LLC was founded over 25 years ago as company focused on community land use and development. Scott works in the community on land use issues and is recognized for his unique knowledge of regional and local land issues.
The depth of his community involvement is longstanding with the local, state and professional communities. Currently, in addition to the Rendezvous Land Conservancy, he is a member and former president of the Jackson Hole Land Trust, a member if the Teton Conservation District board of supervisors and the Teton County Building Corporation. One experience at the park that Scott is looking forward to is the day that a child walks up to cut the ribbon to open the park and all the families run in to explore it.
Passionate about the outdoors, Laurie has spent the past 15 years assuring that prime wilderness in Wyoming is under protection. As Executive Director of the Jackson Hole Land Trust since 2008, Laurie leads strategic conservation efforts across the Greater Yellowstone region. Prior, she secured land and raised support for conservation with The Nature Conservancy in Wyoming, Washington and California. Laurie spends every free moment in motion on the land that motivates her; running, fishing, biking, skiing. She dreams of open and wild spaces. At R Park, Laurie is very much looking forward to riding her bike or taking a run out to the park and seeing families and all the young and young at heart enjoying the park – playing in the water, sitting on the grass, just being outside while being close to home.
